Gün 1: ”Beyaz Günlükler” serimin ilk günü. Eğlenceli bir maceradan günlük notlar paylaşmaya başlıyorum.

Gün 3: Bugün, Sensation gibi dev bir eğlence etkinliğinin Türkiye’ye gelmesi şerefine beyaz pantolon deneme fikrine sıcak bakmaya başladım. Bana yakışıp yakışmayacağını düşünürken yaşadığım heyecanı sanırım en son üniversite sınavında yaşamıştım. Beyaz gömlek, beyaz tişört, beyaz kazak falan tamam hatta beyaz şort bile giyen birisiyim ama beyaz pantolon söz konusu oldu mu bir durup düşünmeden edemedim.

Gün 7: Nişantaşı’ndaki bir kaç mağazaya uğrayıp hem kendime hem size birkaç parça ürün beğendim. Açık söyleyeyim, moda dünyasında kadınlar her zaman bir adım önde. Fikrine sıcak baktığım beyaz pantolonu raflarda bulmak da çok zor ama yine de aramanın gücüne inanıyorum. Zaten 13 Ekim’e daha çok var, elbette bir şeyler bulurum.

Gün 8: Bence her erkeğin bir dönem gizlice aldığı bir beyaz pantolonu var. Sandıkları açıp beyazları havalandırma zamanı geldi beyler. (Anne, benim beyaz pantolonum nerede?)

Gün 12: Kadınlar için her şey daha kolay desem de iş tabi ki sadece beyaz bir elbise ya da beyaz alt-üst kombini yapmakla bitmiyor. Bunun çantası var, takısı var, ayakkabısı var; var da var. Tabi bunlarda beyaz zorunluluğu yok; o yüzden rahat edeceğiniz ama şıklıktan ödün vermeyeceğiniz bir kaç aksesuarla beyazları tamamlamanız iyi olacaktır. (Beyler için de bir kaç şık alternatif eklemeyi unutmadım.)

Gün 14: ”Türk’ün Beyazla İmtihanı” diye bir kitap yazılsa, beyaz rengi kombinlerinde kullanmayı beceremeyen benim gibi moda severlere büyük hizmet olurdu; bundan eminim. Hem belki neden Sensation’da beyaz giyme geleneği olduğunu biraz anlatırsam sizin de bu imtihanda bir adım öne çıkmanızı sağlayabilirim. Sensation organizatörlerinden Duncan Stutterheim’ın kardeşi Miles bir trafik kazasında hayatını kaybediyor. Bunun üzerine Duncan, o sene Sensation’a gelenlere siyah giyerek yas tutmak yerine beyaz giyerek hayatı kutlamayı öneriyor. Katılımcıların çoğu bu öneriyi benimseyip beyaz giyince de bu gelenek bir çeşit kural haline geliyor. Eh, hayatı kutlamak için baştan aşağıya beyaz giyinmek çok da kötü bir fikir olmasa gerek.

Gün 15: Sensation’da giyeceklerimiz beyaz olacak evet ama beyaz atlete yer olmadığını öğrendim. Zaten 7 saat sürecek muhteşem bir dans ve müzik etkinliğine bir zahmet atletle gelmeyin, azıcık özenin. (Cumhuriyet Resepsiyonu da değil bu, beyaz smokin de tercih etmeyin. Rahat olun, kendiniz olun.)

Gün 17: Erkeklere beyaz smokin giymeyin dedim ama giyim kuşamı abartabilecek kadınlardan da korkmuyor değilim. Ya Givenchy 2011 Sonbahar sezonu gibi  couture elbiseler giyip gelirlerse? House müzik eşliğinde couture defilesi hayal etmeye başladım, beni bir süre rahatsız etmeyin.

Gün 18: Bugün olası Sensation kombinlerime isimler bulmaya çalışıyorum ancak beyazlıktan yola çıkarak ”Masum Melek” tadında şeyler türetmekten bir adım öteye gidemedim. (Gerçi bir ara ”Melek Yüzlü Sahtekar” falan dedim ama olmadı, olduramadım.)

Gün 22: Artık hazır sayılırım. Wicked Wonderland şovuyla ilk kez Türkiye’de izleyeceğimiz, saatlerce dans edeceğimiz, baştan aşağıya beyazlara bürüneceğimiz Sensation için geri sayımı başlatabilirim. Dennis Ferrer, Fedde le Grand, Sunnery James, Juan & Daniel Sanchez gibi önemli DJ’lerin sahne alacağı bu görsel şölenin bir parçası olmak için yapmam gereken şuradan biletimi almak, şuradan haberleri takip etmek, dans edip eğlenmek için bol bol enerji depolamak ve tabi ki hep korktuğum şu bembeyaz kombini kuşanıp yola çıkmak.

Day 1: It’s the very first day of ”White Diaries”. Starting to share some quick notes about an exciting adventure.

Day 3: Still reluctant about wearing white trousers; however, it’s for Sensation’s debut show in Turkey – I should better get used to this! I wear white shirts, jumpers, tees and even shorts; however thinking of white trousers make me get a little bit nervous. Will it fit? Will it look good? Many quetions at once, god help me!

Day 7: I did some window-shopping in Nisantasi. Found some items in Emporio Armani and Porsche Design stores to complete your look for Sensation. Isn’t it obvious that women are luckier than us when it comes to fashion?! I could not find the perfect white trousers yet; still, I have high hopes till the show day, Saturday 13th October.

Day 8: I think every man has a secret crush on white trousers and they keep one at safe. Open your closets people, it is time! (Mum, where are my whities?)

Day 12: I thought it was easier for women but there is a point: to get accessorized! It is the main thing separating you from the others! Bags, shoes, bracelets, earrings, necklaces,  and so on. They may not be white, be aware that you should be really comfortable and still chic. (Does that even possible?)

Day 14: People who are not good with white combinations – like me – need a book like ”Dressing White for Dummies”. Maybe the origin of wearing white at Sensation helps us: One of the organizers, Duncan Stutterheim loses his brother Miles in a traffic accident. Instead of mourning in blacks, he choses to celebrate Miles’ life wearing white. Duncan invites Sensation attendees to join him wearing white and after that time, it nearly becomes a tradition. Today, you have to wear a top and a bottom in white in order to attend the show – which I think is really challenging and cool.

Day 15: You can wear anything in white but not wife-beaters. Seriously, guys; this 7-hours long dance and music activity deserves more! (This is not Inauguration Ball, so no white tuxedos as well.)

Day 17: No white tux for men but what about women? What if they chose Givenchy 2011 Fall couture pieces for Sensation Istanbul? No! Please, I can imagine a couture show with house music in background but come on; this is Sensation! Be yourself, be cool!

Day 18: I’m trying to name my possible Sensation Istanbul outfits but I’ve lost my creativity on this. ”Pure Angel” is the best outcome. I should refresh myself before going on to the diaries.

Day 22: Almost there! I can start the countdown for Sensation Istanbul; where we will be dancing for hours with great house music produced by names like Dennis Ferrer, Fedde le Grand, Sunnery James, Juan & Daniel Sanchez and so on. Just a couple of days before Sensation’s Wicked Wonderland show, I should have get ready; I should order my ticket from here and check the latest news from here. Lastly, I should create my unique white outfit for an unforgettable experience!
